The opportunity to specialize in more than 20 academic branches in Guatemala and countries of three continents will open next November 22 during the II Virtual Scholarship Fair organized by Segeplan, which will be carried out with artificial intelligence tools.

The activity will take place from November 22 to 26 and will be developed in an interactive 3D environment, which is an innovation in Guatemala for this type of academic events.
The idea was born as a result of the situation the world is facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to adapt to the technological needs and safeguard the health of the participants. The event is organized by the Secretariat of Planning and Programming of the Presidency (Segeplan).
Keila Gramajo, head of Segeplan, explained that at the fair those interested will be able to obtain information about national and international scholarships for bachelor's, master's, doctorate and short courses.
The Secretary explained that 33 collaborators will participate in the Fair, among which there are nine national institutions, including universities and foundations, and 24 international institutions from countries such as Spain, Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Russia, among others.
The areas of study that applicants will be able to find are:
Environment
Architecture and urban planning
Public policy
Public administration and economics
Social sciences and law
Science, technology and informatics
Tourism
Sports
Planning
Human Rights
Engineering and related fields
Rural development,
Art, among others
How to participate?
The secretary explained that the scholarship facilitators will present the information material through presentations, direct links to the main pages, informative videos, images and real-time attention.
She added that the platform that will be used for the event will have 19 networking rooms -informational meetings-, in which they will provide personalized technical assistance to applicants through artificial intelligence tools.
"Access to this platform will be disclosed in the coming days through Segeplan's official social media pages," Gramajo explained.
The official emphasized that the scholarship fair will serve applicants from 8:00 to 17:00 hours on November 22 and will be complemented with virtual talks on the most demanded programs from November 23 to 26 from 8:00 to 16:00 hours through Segeplan's social networks.
It is expected that at least 15 thousand people will participate in this fair, according to data from the Secretariat, every year the institution launches around 200 calls for applications with more than 2,500 grants.
